AEG supplies HAFNER ATEX Solenoid Coil products for electrically actuating compatible pneumatic valves within potentially explosive gas or dust atmospheres.
An ATEX Solenoid Coil converts an electrical control signal into magnetic force that changes the position of the compatible valve operator. The coil must be matched to the correct valve interface, voltage and electrical connection. Fitting an explosion protected coil does not automatically make every valve or assembled configuration suitable for hazardous area use.
Selection requires the hazardous area classification, gas or dust group, equipment category, temperature class, ambient temperature and required protection concept. Voltage, current type, power consumption, duty rating, coil interface and connector arrangement must also be confirmed. Suitability depends on the exact assembled product and its supporting certification. Installation must follow the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable hazardous area requirements.
